NYSED Workshop Terms of Use
By using this web site ("Service"), you are agreeing to be bound by the following terms and conditions ("Terms of Use").
Violations of any of the terms below will result in the termination of your Account. You agree to use the Service at your own risk.
We offer a complete 100% money-back guarantee, so IF you have not completed a course, you are entitled to a full refund of the price of that course - minus up to a $1 processing fee - within the first 30 days after payment has been applied. Other sites do not offer guarantees because they themselves know that their websites and their content cannot compare to what we offer here. Of course, no matter where you go, no matter what you do, there are always rules, restrictions and limitations, also known as "the fine print."
Payment, Refunds and Services
Please read this section carefully. As our FAQ section states, we do honor refund requests and we are happy to help with any issues that you may incur while attempting to finish training on our website. Refund requests must be made via email sent to help@nysedworkshop.com within 30 days of payment and give us 72 hours to respond. You must NOT file a “chargeback” to get a refund. Furthermore, most people who call their credit card company to file a chargeback seem to feel the need to knowingly make up fake stories to convince their credit card company to retrieve their funds because they do understand that chargebacks are not for refunds but actually for unauthorized charges and/or merchant negligence.
Again, our refund policy is clear – if you haven’t finished the training, you can get a refund within 30 days. Simple. Please do not make things complicated. We will now define complicated. If you file a chargeback, we will fight it and even if we do not “win” the dispute, we are telling you (below) what you are agreeing we can do to remedy this, as we are honest people making an honest living and would never steal from or deceive anyone, and certainly not our customers. We will ask for valid proof (police report) if a dispute claims that a “customer’s” credit card was stolen. If that proof is not provided, we must then assume that no theft actually took place.
Next, chargeback disputes cost us money, even if the dispute is later withdrawn. You are responsible for paying any dispute fees (unless you show us a police report showing your credit card was actually stolen). Those fees can even end up being more than the actual course costs, so if you complete a course and then file a chargeback, it means you got what you paid for and it actually cost US money. Even if you “accidentally” file a dispute or you claim you did not read this agreement and the credit card company did not tell you that chargebacks cost the vendor money, you are still, nonetheless, responsible for paying that back to us after an unnecessary dispute is filed and regardless of the “result” of the chargeback. Disputes also take up a lot of time. Furthermore, if a chargeback is filed AFTER a course was completed, the client (you) agrees that the vendor (us) can:
File a complaint and overdue balance notice with the credit card bureaus (TransUnion, Equifax and Experian) citing reasonable costs, fees incurred, and $150/hour for sweat equity involved. Prohibit further access courses and contact the NYSED because when you receive a service and then revoke payment afterwards that is fraud/theft and it will not be tolerated.
You must enter a valid credit card to pay for a course subscription.
Money back guarantee is for courses that have not been completed. If you signed up for multiple courses, refunds are only available for courses that have not been completed and any discounts for multiple courses will not apply when receiving a refund. Other sites won't give any refunds, so already you are ahead of the game by being on our website.
We also do NOT give you impossible-to-pass tests that require perfect scores in order to receive your paperwork. Other sites do that in order to make people repeat courses and make you pay more. Other sites also charge for "extras" like additional certificates. Not here. The creators and operators of this site are bound by a principle that unfortunately is not found everywhere you go - it's called ethics. When you use our services, you get what you came for and more, without any tricks or nasty surprises.
For the rest of the fine print, mostly written by lawyers, we need to clarify the relationship between the consumer (you) and the content provider (us). Consumer may not sound very warm and friendly, so other words can be used, such as customer, client, user, participant, reader or patron. They all mean the same thing - a person who registers and pays to participate in the services we offer.
This disclaimer shall govern your use of our website. By using our website, all participants accept this disclaimer in full; accordingly, if you disagree with this disclaimer or any part of this disclaimer, you must not use our website.
